The usage review has no data
Fewer Apps requires Screen Time permission on a physical iPhone. Confirm that Fewer Apps still has Screen Time access in Settings, then reopen the review. A new or sparse Screen Time record may need a few days of normal use before an untouched verdict is meaningful.
A hibernated app will not wake
Tap Wake it on Fewer Apps' shield, then relaunch the app. On some iOS versions, the system shield can linger until the woken app is opened again.
What happens after 14 days?
After 14 uninterrupted days without an opening attempt, Fewer Apps marks the app Ready to Remove. It remains installed and hibernating until you delete it yourself, wake it, or choose Keep hibernating. Fewer Apps never deletes another app automatically.
Android
The usage review is empty
Open Android Settings, find Special app access, then Usage access, and turn access on for Fewer Apps. Return to Fewer Apps and run the review again.
An uninstall is missing from History
History covers removals started through Fewer Apps. Return to Fewer Apps after Android's uninstall confirmation: the removal is recorded only after Fewer Apps confirms the app is no longer installed.
The unlock price is missing or Google Play is unavailable
Review, removal suggestions, and guided uninstall remain free. Only detailed History requires the optional one-time unlock.
- Check that your connection works and the Play Store is up to date and signed in. Check Google Play for a Fewer Apps update; update in place without uninstalling first.
- Return to Fewer Apps. Version 0.2.3 and later retry unavailable purchase details when you return to the app.
- Open History and scroll to Already bought it? Restore. Restore checks for an existing purchase and also retries unavailable purchase details. It does not start a new checkout.
If the purchase controls stay busy after Play stops responding, fully close Fewer Apps and reopen it. Keep the app installed and its data intact.
If Fewer Apps was not installed through Google Play, contact support before changing the installation, especially if you have History to keep. If Play is still unavailable, you can continue using the free review and removal features.
I already paid, but History is locked
Check the purchase in the Play Store's Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history, using the Google account that made it. Then return to Fewer Apps and use Already bought it? Restore in History. A different Google account may not have the purchase on file.
If the payment is pending, wait for Google Play to complete it, then return to Fewer Apps. Check the original payment's status before trying to buy again. See Google Play's in-app purchase help for connection, Play Store, and payment checks.
Keep your local History safe
Do not clear Fewer Apps' app data or uninstall it to troubleshoot a purchase. History stays on this phone and does not sync or transfer. Clearing app data or uninstalling erases its entries. Restoring a purchase unlocks History; it does not recover erased entries or restore removed apps or their data.
Purchases and restores
Use Restore purchases on iPhone or Already bought it? Restore on Android while signed into the same Apple Account or Google account used for the original purchase.
If the purchase is still missing, email support@fewer-apps.com with the platform, app version, approximate purchase date, and the exact message shown. Do not send passwords, verification codes, or payment-card details.
